Due to the current shortage of major events to report on as well as the fact I was given an interesting anonymous story, I’ve decided that today I would assess the stability of the Ruthen Commonwealth. Throughout the short history of the server, the Commonwealth has been a constant target of both raids and espionage. Many would argue that these types of warfare could be the Achilles heel of this great empire, but I think people would be shocked to find that although they are the strongest on paper, the Commonwealth may have a plethora of internal issues. The main reason I bring this up is A: In the main server cinema has been referred to as a dictator and players like Ever and Bryan have reported having very little freedoms and B: I was given a quite interesting story from an anonymous source just hours ago at the time of writing this. The story is as follows as written by an anonymous Commonwealth citizen: "At day 2 i had a pet, he was my best friend and together we were in the ruthen commonswealth, as i went to my designated territory to start my house, a guy, enemy of the commonwealth enemy of cinema came and killed him, stored his corpse in a chest and left, ever since that day i knew that Cinema would not protect his own citizens, the commonswealth was too inneficent, too focused in warring with others that they never cared about the people who could not fight. cinema, he simply never cared about his people, and when i went and complained about it he simply threatened to banish and hunt me down if i did not complied to his orders. and after all i had given them, my ores, my loyalty my money my companionship, they, Cinema, could not care enough to protect me from the enemies he imposed on me, and my friends." Now I of course can not reveal my source for this story, but I thought it was worth sharing and apparently they did as well. Although the Commonwealth still remains as the de-facto superpower on the server, stories like this lead us to wonder when or if the balance of power will shift as the people of every nation rise up for themselves? This question, I predict, will persist if the major empires (not just the Commonwealth) continue to neglect the safety and well-being of their citizens. In other news, raids are still being carried out periodically mainly by independents, and there is also a fighting league known as the UMFC run by fa18eh (thatrancherguy) and CooperM, and going forward I’ll probably cover its major matchups going forward.
