I joined the realm about 10 days ago. At first I explored, saw some countries, and did the usual. Then I started progressing, gathering stone, iron, food, and other basics.
Soon after, a player messaged me after finding out I was new. They asked for my coordinates, so I gave them. A few moments later, I saw their nametag near the roof of my cave. I dug out and found them. I’ll keep their name anonymous.
They had me follow them to their base. After showing me around, I smelted my iron and made a sword, spear, shield, bucket, and chestplate. When I finished, they told me to follow them again. About five seconds later, they suddenly turned and attacked.
I blocked with my shield and ran, looking for a hill or drop where I could use my spear. They didn’t follow and instead said it was “just a prank.” I still didn’t trust them, so I told them I was going caving.
A few moments later, they asked if I wanted to make a country together called “Dino Land.” After they had just attacked me, the offer didn’t add up, especially since they wanted to name it after me. That was when I completely lost trust in them.
I left and wandered for several Minecraft days until I found a place I liked. I built a drop chute into a lake with a winding stairwell leading to a strip mine. It started as a simple chute with a furnace, bed, and crafting table, but I eventually expanded it into a 10×10 base with a tuft-brick floor, prismarine ceiling, and dark-oak walls. I claimed it as the Tidal Guard.
A few days later, I logged on to find it griefed. My enchanting area was raided, my floor and chests were dug up, and strangely, only my bookshelves were taken.
Later, a player from Gambians helped me get some good gear, and we practiced together. We’re also working on something for the benefit of the server, but I can’t say what yet.
And this still isn’t everything I’ve done. I plan to do a lot more.
